man your a long way from home, how you been?

Walt Galbow had Addicks Cycles (CZ), and Duffy rode them before the Bultaco's. Cycle Sports was Nathan Geisendorf, his son Otto has a motorcycle shop in Tomball, I think.
Walt had miles of video at his old shop, I sure would like to see it now.
There was a test track on the other side of Addicks Dam that we would go to where Walt had his old reel video running all day. When the day was over we watched it on the shop wall, and he made suspension changes based on the tapes. He was way ahead of his time. I think he made the first lay down shocks too.

What was the guys name that had Cycle Sports Bultaco?
Nathan something. Me and Jack almost bought a Bul 360? from him to ride.
Instead we went with the Husky 250 that I raced 'til the YZ2250D and RM250s came out, that made it almost impossible to compete with them!

My cousin is friends with him, and when I visited San Diego, Marty "happened" to invite me to his home, where I met his wife Nancy and their cool black Lab. From there, we went to Mission Bay park for an afternoon playing volleyball.....SoCal style!

It was a day I will never forget, and when the SuperCross came to Houston, I was always informed of a pit pass waiting for me!

I did! I shared it with my brother. HE would ride the 125 class, then I would ride the Powder Puff class. CECILE HANNA probably has a LOT of photographs. SHE rode a Penton in the early 70's also.

Steve, did you happen to know any other guys who rode Pentons in the 70's? How about Bill Hogsett or Bill Davis? He rode a tricked out 125 with number 16 plate. His step-dad Gene, knew the guys at Cycle Shack pretty well.

Hey....this is Steve "Stretch" Griffin.

I rode a KTM / Penton back in the day and I took a huge amount of photographs of the scene back then - 70's - 80's which somehow emerged unscathed from 20 years of moving around the planet. I am working with Richard Huffman to bring those images to this site.

I need your help - do you have any images of that era that you'd like to share? I might have some of you that you didn't know existed...

Hey Everyone! This is Stretch Griffin.

I was at the reunion on Saturday night. I took a TON of pictures during the heyday of OLD SCHOOL Motocross in the late 70's-80's. I am currently converting those images to the digital format. I have been in conversation with the webmaster and we'd like to re-invigorate this website with a bunch of new and never-before-seen images. Does anyone out there have some snapshots that might be usable - possibly historic?? You never know. Just send us whatever and we'll figure it out.
