Hi King,
Been doing OK, just missing home(that'd be Tulsa,OK..and honestly TX!)
Been commuting working on a year and a half Seattle/Tulsa, and I've had it. Tough to find another gig in the Tulsa area making what I'm making up here. So I'm hangin tough until something opens up in the Tulsa area (or DFW area, be a pc of cake compared to what I've been doing).
In fact, I'm dropping on this site at wk(hey, ya gotta something to pass the time, right? )
Funny how when I get bored I always start migrating to motocross sites!
Best times of life, truth be told. I do have a KTM 300XC I'm riding up here in the Pac NW/Cascades-which is pretty awesome riding.
I've been/lived just about all over this country in the airline ind, and I'll take good ole TX! Sure wish I could hang out with you boys down there...(good seeing you at that reunion! WOW) Hear Glen U is retired now from TR.
God bless, take care guys!
Roger
ps-drop me an email at: rlsjodin@yahoo.com so I can keep in touch!
_________________
Roger Sjodin

Just when it looked like F1 would be saved, now the Formula One Teams Association (FOTA) says that will start a break-away series if FIA rejects their entries for the 2010 season.

See, this is what is killing the sport. All the drama queens prancing around with their own agendas, and the internal politics needs to stop. I thought F1 was about racing exotic cars all over the world.

If I wanted to see grown men throwing hissy fits, and calling each other names I'd go watch C-SPAN.
_________________
eibach shock promoi codes
Time is near for the big race and it made me think of the more memorable moments of this race. I'm sure there are memories that other people will never forget, but there are three memories that I always remember when this race comes around. I think the first thing that comes to mind is the "Spin to Win" by Danny Sullivan. What a trip that was and it's just so special that I'll never forget it. Next is a memory that isn't so good. I'll never forget the sight of Salt Walther's legs protruding out in his canope after that first lap wreck many years ago. That was the worst wreck that I've seen at that track. I don't remember any of the other drivers that were involved, just the sight of Walther's car spinning and his legs. I hope that I never see anything like that again. And lastly for me, one other memory comes to mind each year at this time. It was before the race was televised, a time that I always enjoyed, listening to the race on the radio. I love the race televised, but those old radio days were kind of special in it's own way. Anyway, I will never forget the year that Swede Savage was killed and the way they announced his wreck. Yes, there are other memories of the race, Little Al winning his first one, AJ and his wins. Bobby Unser, Johnny Rutherford and one of my old favorites, Gordy Johncock and his win. There are of course a thousand memories that one could have, but those three memories that I wrote are always the first to come to my mind.

What are your most memorable moments from the race?
_________________
eibach shock promoi codes
Robin Miller is reporting that Danica's agents are secretly talking with Target Chip Ganassi Racing for a 3rd car for Danica Patrick in 2010. This would be wild and big.

I know AGR will not let Danica go that easy so it will be interesting to see what happens the next couple months. Danica's contract expires with AGR after this year and she is free to talk and negotiate with any team or series that she desires.

Hey stretch.......I'm going to go out on a limb here.....you stated you raced Pentons back in the day and being that there weren't that many around, I figure you guys that rode them, might have known each other.
I used to go to the track with a neighbor who raced a Penton 125. His name was Billy Hogsett and lived in Sugarland. His number was 16 and rode novice and intermediate. He later rode the open class on a '77 Husky 360CR.
Did you know him?
I started in 1975 with a Honda Elsinore 125. I was 6'5" and 170 lbs. and skinny as hell. I gained some weight and so I graduated to a Penton 250 and then a KTM 250 MC5. What a difference! It could haul my large ASS down the track at high speeds! I then grew to 6'7" and 250 lbs. and then I was out of it, no matter the bike, I couldn't keep up with the 5'9" 160 lb. guys, it was pure mathematics - not like it mattered to me! But the time I spent at the track, with my buddies is PRICELESS. I'd never give that up. I loved going to the track in the morning, rolling in there and hanging out with the guys. What a great group of people.
Roger, good to see your name again---
man your a long way from home, how you been?

Walt Galbow had Addicks Cycles (CZ), and Duffy rode them before the Bultaco's. Cycle Sports was Nathan Geisendorf, his son Otto has a motorcycle shop in Tomball, I think.
Walt had miles of video at his old shop, I sure would like to see it now.
There was a test track on the other side of Addicks Dam that we would go to where Walt had his old reel video running all day. When the day was over we watched it on the shop wall, and he made suspension changes based on the tapes. He was way ahead of his time. I think he made the first lay down shocks too.
What was the guys name that had Cycle Sports Bultaco?
Nathan something. Me and Jack almost bought a Bul 360? from him to ride.
Instead we went with the Husky 250 that I raced 'til the YZ2250D and RM250s came out, that made it almost impossible to compete with them!
